These terms apply to your use of Vault.

Vault is a personal, self-hosted document platform operated as a private project. By signing in or using Vault, you agree to these terms.

1. Use of the service

You may use Vault to create, edit, share, and publish Markdown documents. You are responsible for the content you create, upload, share, or publish.

Do not use Vault to:

• break the law
• harass, threaten, or abuse other people
• upload malware or attempt to compromise the service
• share content that you do not have the right to share
• attempt to bypass authentication, authorization, rate limits, bans, or security controls

2. Privacy and sensitive information

Vault is a personal project, not a regulated storage service. Do not store passwords, payment card numbers, government IDs, medical records, or other highly sensitive information in Vault.

Documents may be private, shared, or public depending on your settings. Public documents can be viewed by anyone with access to the public URL.

3. Account access and moderation

Access to Vault may be limited, suspended, or banned if an account is used abusively or puts the service, operator, or other users at risk.

Bans may be temporary or permanent. Banned accounts may lose access to protected app areas while account data is reviewed.

4. Content safety

Vault renders Markdown and a constrained subset of HTML. Unsafe HTML, scripts, unsupported iframe providers, unsafe protocols, and unsafe attributes may be filtered or removed.

Filtering exists for safety, but it is not a guarantee that every possible unsafe input is detected. Use caution when opening public documents or embedded content.

5. Availability

Vault is provided as-is. The service may change, break, go offline, lose data, or be discontinued. Backups and recovery tools may exist, but no availability or data recovery guarantee is made.

6. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as Vault changes. Continued use of Vault after an update means you accept the updated terms.
